1818 Society UK Chapter Christmas Lunch, Saturday December 7th

We will be returning to the Thistle Holborn Hotel this year. The lunch will be on Saturday 7th December at 1.00 p.m. with pre-lunch drinks from 12.00. The hotel is on Bloomsbury Way, London WC1A 2SD.

Starters

Roast pumpkin soup garnished with tomato pumpkin seeds, chives, herb oil, soya yogurt V. GF.

Smoked salmon with pickled fennel & red onion slaw, cream cheese, pitta crisps.

Pressed chicken and apricot terrine with curly endive, chutney, crostini.

Mains

Roast turkey ballotine with sage & onion stuffing, served with pigs in blankets, roast carrots & parsnips, Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, cranberry sauce, and turkey jus.  N.

Beetroot Wellington served with roast potatoes, roast carrots & parsnips, Brussels sprouts and a vegetable juice.

Braised feather blade of beef with parsley mash, roast carrots and parsnips, kale, and a red wine jus.  GF.

Roast sea bass, parsley mash, roasted red peppers, kale, shellfish bisque and herb oil. GF.

Dessert

Classic Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, vanilla ice cream, biscuit crumb V.

Panettone bread & butter pudding with brandy sauce.

Chocolate & raspberry torte, with raspberry sorbet.  VG

To Finish

Mini cranberry and mince pies.
